App Extension in WhatsApp
Let Status be seen easily.
Taking cues from Instagram and Facebook Messenger, rather than dedicating one tab purely for Status update, let’s move it to the same page where the Chats are. It is more likely to improve user engagement as users spend more time in this tab. Since the parent company for both Instagram and WhatsApp is Facebook, the design and look of the Status update section in WhatsApp shouldn’t be foreign or intimidating to users.
Room for a Store
After replacing the Status tab at the bottom left of the navigational bar, it can now be used for a dedicated Store, where users can browse for extensions or stickers.
